South Miami

South Miami is located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. It is situated south of Coral Gables and east of West Miami and is known for its family-friendly atmosphere, diverse community, and a strong emphasis on education.

The city has many excellent schools, including the University of Miami and several top-rated public and private schools. It is also known for its vibrant downtown area, which features many restaurants, shops, and cultural attractions.

South Miami is bordered by Coral Gables to the north and Pinecrest to the south and covers an area of approximately 2.3 square miles. The city has a population of around 12,000 people and is served by several major highways, including US-1 and the Palmetto Expressway.

The area is also home to several parks and recreational areas, including Dante Fascell Park, which features tennis courts, a playground, and a community center, and Fuchs Park, which features a swimming pool, basketball courts, and a skate park.
